Fall Wardrobe Essentials: Bottoms

fullsizerender-6

Its Wednesday once again and I have the next section of Must Have wardrobe essentials you need in your closet, to get you ready for fall! Most of these pieces you will wear year round, so it will be great to refresh your wardrobe and make sure  you have those foundation pieces to build from. So lets get to it once again!

Skinny Jeans// This is a staple that you need for any season and once you find your favorite pair, it will always be a “go-to” item in your closet. If you are beginning to build your foundation wardrobe, I would first get a dark wash or medium wash pair, that way you can easily coordinate with your other pieces in your wardrobe.

Destroyed Denim// I love a pair of destroyed denim jeans! It just adds a little extra detail which can range from small rips or cuts at the knees to larger holes…it is whatever you prefer! Also, I got my pair of ripped denim in a boyfriend fit which makes them super comfortable to wear all the time(see photo above).

Flare Jeans// This is another great pair of denim to add to your wardrobe. I like having a bit of variety in my wardrobe when it comes to the different cuts of jeans. You can get creative in pairing different tops with this style! I choose a simple long sleeve top, dress it up with a statement necklace, and a bootie with a chunky heel.

Midi Skirt// I grew to love the midi length skirt, although I was skeptical at first due to my height (5’4). Usually the hem of this style of skirt lands right at the middle of my shins, and if that is the case for you, I would suggest wearing heels with this skirt to avoid looking frumpy. I have two examples below: one being an A-line skirt, which I would pair a slim fit, cable-knit sweater to off set the volume of the skirt. Next is a pencil skirt, which I would pair with a loose fitting sweater. Once again to create some contrast to the slim fit of the skirt. Either one (or both) of these skirts would be a great addition to your wardrobe!

Leather Leggings or Pants// You can pair this with anything from a simply tee, a blazer, and slip on some flats or heels; or my all time favorite, paired with an over sized sweater, and boots!

Overalls// It is definitely safe to say the overalls have made a comeback! You can easily pair these with a long sleeve knit top, a flowy short sleeve top, or a comfy sweater. Overalls do come in different styles, so if you have several skinny or straight leg pants, maybe switch it up and get a style with a flare leg to add some variety.

How is everything looking so far? We have now covered tops and bottoms, and up next is blazers and jackets. If there is a topic you want me to cover or to let me know how I am doing, please leave your comments below!

I hope you all have a great rest of the week and check back next Wednesday:)
