3-Activewear-Style-and-Diet-Tips-To-Start-The-Year

Hello and welcome back to the blog. It is the beginning of the year and I can imagine that you may or may not have a few goals. Specifically, goals related to getting back into the gym or starting a new fitness routine.

I have a few of my own when it comes to a fitness routine and I would love to share that with you. First I want to share a couple of staple pieces for active wear that I can’t go to the gym without. I don’t know about you but a cute workout outfit will definitely boost my confidence. Then I will share a couple of diet tips that have been extremely helpful for me over the past couple of years. Let’s get started with gym style!

3 Style Tips

High Waisted Leggings
I have at least four or five pairs of high waisted leggings. Honestly the higher the waist the better! As I am bending, stretching, squatting, or whatever I am doing; I like feeling covered up. These leggings are versatile and I like to pair them full-length tops and crop tops without completely exposing my midriff. Here are a couple of options listed below!

Quarter Zip Jacket
This is a staple for the gym that you will use all year round. I have one that is lightweight and another one that is fleece for the cooler weather. I become cold so easily and since I workout mostly indoors the A/C and fans are sometimes cranked up. This jacket comes in handy when I need to throw this on over my outfit.  I have a few favorites listed below.

C9 Champion Quarter Zip Long Sleeve
Zella Shear up Pullover
OVFleece Jacket

Activewear Sets
Sets are a new favorite of mine because it makes it more fun to get ready to go work out. I am not very matchy-matchy in any other part of my wardrobe, but showing up to the gym in an all yellow ensemble is completely fine. Sets are also versatile because you can wear it together or mix and match throughout the rest of your activewear. A couple of my favorite sets have been from Fabletics and Target, however, I will link a few more brands below that I like.

3 Tips to Reset Your Diet

Now that you have your outfit to get you going what about diet? That can be a scary word but the more you know about your body the less intimidating it is. Here are a few tips to reset your diet that I myself have done in the past. Side note: I am not a nutritionist or doctor, and none of the information below is sponsored. This is just me sharing a couple of diet tips that have helped me in the past and present. I encourage you to do your own research before jumping into something new. Here we go!

Drink More Water

If you want to make incremental changes in your everyday diet, start with drinking more water. I know you probably heard this a million times by EVERYONE, but it is true. My goal is to drink 3 liters of water a day. I have a reusable 32oz bottle at my desk at work that I aim to refill three times throughout the day. Even if you only make it through one bottle of water a day, those a small steps you are taking that will lead to positive change in your diet.

Herbal Cleanse System
I don’t know why but I love a good cleanse. My favorite is the Herbal Cleanse System from Advocare. Talk about a reset and its only 10 days! I do this about twice a year, especially after I have been eating poorly and I need to get back on track.

Clean Eating
Last but not least to give your diet a nice switch up is Whole30. In other words, I like to call it good old fashion clean eating. I have never felt so energized, not bloated or gassy, and my skin was amazing! I am about to embark on my third round of Whole30, however, after this time around I don’t want to add so much back into the mix…for example cheese. Dairy and clear skin somehow do not see eye to eye for some reason. Again, to each their own but for me this type of diet makes sense for me and makes me feel great!

Earlier I said I would share my fitness goals with you and here they are. First I want to get back into the studio and take ballet classes again. As well as getting back on track with clean eating. I hope this was helpful for you and that this will set up to accomplish your fitness goals.
