10 Best Restaurants for valentine’s day 2019

Valentines-day-outfits-2019-5

Happy Friday! Valentine’s Day is next week! Whether its a holiday or I am trying to find a new place to go eat, the question always is “Where should we go?”. Yelp works most of the time when trying to find a new spot. However, I wanted to share some of my favorite spots that I have personally been to and experienced the food. And these restaurants are super cute for Valentine’s Day.

This will solve your questions on where to go and even give a idea for a new restaurant to try. Take a look at the list below and get on top of planning that special night.

1. Wu Chow (Downtown Austin)

Where: IBC Bank Plaza, 500 W 5th St #168, Austin, TX 78701
Price: $$
Food: Chinese

Wu Chow is a newer spot in downtown Austin and it is AMAZING! I went here for a date night a few months ago, we ordered a variety of dishes, and each one was so so good! You cannot miss out on the Dim Sum so be sure to order those when you go.

2. Elizabeth Street Cafe (South Austin)

Where: 1501 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78704
Price:$$
Food: Vietnamese

Elizabeth St. Cafe has become a favorite go-to spot whenever I am down south. The first time I had Pho was here! It is a great and cozy spot for a more casual date night. My favorite dishes are the Singapore noodles and the spring rolls with the flank steak.

3. Boiler Nine (Downtown Austin)

Where: 800 W Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78701
Price: $$
Food: Bar and Grill

This spot is super cool tucked away in the Seaholm power plant area of downtown. They have an amazing restaurant with a viewing deck that you can access to see a great view of the city.  Another reason I love this spot is that they also have this really cool lounge downstairs called The Boiler Room. Once you finish dinner you can hang out upstairs with a great view of Austin.  Or you can finish off the night in the fancy lounge downstairs. I love some options, so this is perfect and also in the same place.

4. Eberly (South Austin)

Where: 615 S. Lamar, Austin, TX 78704
Price: $$$
Food: American

Eberly is a great restaurant for any meal throughout the day. I have had their brunch and have been to their happy hour countless times. The details of the space make the environment so elevated. If you want a solid choice for Valentine’s day, this is a place to take your significant other.

5. Roaring Fork (North and South Austin)

Where: 10850 Stonelake Blvd, Austin, TX 78759 (North), 701 Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78701(South)
Price: $$$
Food: American

The ambienace, food, and drinks is the reason why the Roaring Fork made the list. I have only been to the location up north but there is also a location downtown for those of yall who live south.

6. Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen

Where: 3001 Palm Way #120, Austin, TX 78758
Price: $$
Food: American

This was the hot new spot last year at Domain Northside and it still is today. You MUST get the guacamole and sweet potato chips for the appetizer. Honestly, it changed the way I eat my guacamole. They have a rotating menu (if that makes sense) so some of my favorites are not always available. However, that makes me want to try something new and it usually is spot on! Definitely a go-to if you are looking for a spot at the Domain.

7. Tiny Boxwoods (Central Austin)

Where: 1503 W 35th St, Austin, TX 78703
Price: $$$
Food: Scratch Kitchen and Bakery

I love Tiny’s! As a Houstonian, I was so happy to see this restaurant make it to Austin. I am pretty sure they make all f the food from scratch and it is so very yummy. I have eaten here so many times and just about every dish is really good. My drink favorites are the white wine mojito and the signature margarita. Oh, and you have to get the famous cookie…that first bite touches your soul!

8. Siena Ristorante Toscana (West Austin)

Where: 6203 N Capital of Texas Hwy, Austin, TX 78731
Price: $$
Food: Italian

Pasta, pasta, and more pasta! I recently dined at this restaurant for a work event during the holidays. We sat next to this huge fireplace and the atmosphere was very elegant. If you are looking for a beautiful Italian evening, this is the spot for you.

9. Hotel San Jose (South Austin)

Where: 1316 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704
Price: $$
Food: Bar Snacks- American Food

I wanted to include a couple of two in one spots, meaning a great hotel and restaurant option. Up first is Hotel San Jose! I haven’t spent the night at this hotel but I have been to their bar area plenty of times. Their bar area is great for happy hour or brunch, also a great spot to end the night on the patio. This was the first place that the word frose’ (frozen Rose’) came to my attention.

10. The Carpenter Hotel (South Austin)

Where: 400 Josephine St, Austin, TX 78704
Price: $$$
Food: Variety

The Carpenter hotel is a new spot right on the corner of South Lamar and Barton Springs road. I have not had the chance to fully experience The Carpenter Hotel but I did visit when I was taking these pictures for the blog. I did want to share with you all because this would be a perfect little spot to spend the day or weekend at. Especially with such easy access to downtown.
